Job Sites for Older Adults

Gloria Coles also told me about this recent NY Times article.

"As the boomer generation moves toward retirement, companies are stepping up with innovative aids."

Gloria Coles of Libraries for the Future sent me this link from BusinessWeek Online and AARP .

Osher Lifelong Learning Institute at Tufts University

Nancy Alcorn, formerly of Newburyport Public Library, now Adult Services Librarian at Albuquerque (NM) Public Library, sent me this information to share:

It's been a while, but I continue to think of my former MA library colleagues often, and I do try to keep up with now "out-of-state" websites, blogs - including NMRLS - and other online reading as best I can.

Thought you might be interested in these lifelong learning/continuing education links and their course offerings, around which the University of New Mexico structures a continuing education "senior college" - and to think that the Osher Institute originated at the University of Southern Maine, and is now country wide, definitely an interest- and need-driven situation! Perhaps they would be of interest to your Access eXchange readers.

And, I was wondering who in Albuquerque was reading the blog!
I've added the Tufts link to the Lifelong Access web site. I'd love to hear what you're all doing.
